Are Android mobile phones gradually taking over the smart phone world?

Android have been around for a while now, long enough you would think in which they'd have the ability to create a handset that's capable of imposing some form of serious damage on the iPhone. Well only just recently they have been able to do this and that was using the release of the HTC Desire HD. So far as sales go we do not have precise figures but we do know that in the United Kingdom the shops which had the handsets for sale didn't have enough stock to meet customer need.

So you can safely say that Android mobile phones at the moment are starting to get to the light right at the end of a very long, Apple iPhone dominated tunnel. Android initially was practically exclusicve to HTC but recently we have witnessed the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S launched which is in a number of ways every bit as good as the Desire HD and in others not as good, but still it's a cracking mobile phone handset and there have been some other's launched like computer giants Dell's very first dip into the mobile/smart phone market with the Dell Streak, which it's safe to say is one hell of a handset. It's got an amazingly big screen measuring up to be 5 inches bang on. Some going that for a phone screen, but Dell being Dell really don't do things by half really. I mean this smart phone is practically a laptop, but not just any old laptop, a laptop smaller than your shoe!

If you would quite like one of these mobile phones, regardless of whether it is a HTC or even a new Dell or whatever you are certain to find some good Android deals around on the high-street, because there are several budget Android handsets like the Wildfire and also some of the more 'top of the range' handsets such as the HTC Desire HD.
